The Advice and Guidance team at PEC delivers a free, confidential and independent Advice and Guidance service – DAAFS. The project is available to all Copeland* residents who are unemployed, at risk of redundancy, or claiming working-age benefits.
Its purpose is to offer support and guidance to people who have no or little experience in navigating government formfilling digitally, do not themselves have access to a computer and internet, or do not know what benefits they potentially are eligible for.
We operate out of three separate IT Suites which are situated at:-
The Phoenix Business Centre food pantry operates from a unit within Phoenix Enterprise Centre (PEC) and operates with the financial support of the DAAFS project. Through coordination from a PEC member of staff and a fantastic team of volunteers, we pack and deliver food parcels to people who find themselves in financial distress, unable to provide food for their families.
We also receive donations for the food pantry through the generosity of local people, businesses and the tenants of Phoenix Enterprise Centre.
