Celebrating 30 years of serving the Community

Phoenix Enterprise Centre has developed and evolved over the past 30 years. From its conception as Cleator Moor Workspace in 1985 it has developed and expanded to meet the ever changing needs of its tenants, clients and local community.

Phoenix Enterprise Centre houses over 30 businesses employing over 240 people in over 40,000sq ft of premises ranging from workshops to large office suites.

Our qualified Advice and Guidance workers support over 400 unemployed people every year. From our newly refurbished I.T suite in Phoenix House to our outreach centres in Whitehaven, Egremont and Millom you can be assured of a friendly, professional and confidential service.

Operations manager Joanne Crowe said “Our local community and its people are at the heart of everything we do. Our Advice and Guidance Workers will do all they can to help you back into training or work. Just call in.”

The Board of Directors of PEC are all dedicated volunteers.  They possess a breadth of knowledge and a range of skills from sectors such as Banking, Education, Leisure and Local Government.  They are led by the Chairman, Bob Metcalfe, who has held this position for the past 20 years.

PEC are marking the anniversary by hosting an evening Barbeque in a Marquee at The Sella Park Country House Hotel on Saturday 4th July where specially invited supporters, tenants and clients of PEC can celebrate together.
